Octopath Traveler Vs Xenoblade 2 . Octopath traveler mobile game getting nier: I'd be interested to hear from someone who prefer bravely default 2.

Xenoblade has better storytelling, a nice world, and a more traditional structure (which i prefer), however the combat and some design mechanics like gacha blades, field skills, etc. Not to mention xenoblade chronicles 2 is still get doc and an extension to it's main story. Octopath traveler is not my recommendation only by deduction, but because it is better than a love letter to the genre:

Octopath is pretty good too, though. Outside of battles, which increase in enough complexity over the course of the game (in particular. Xenoblade chronicles 2 on the other hand is a much more modern rpg, with active battles where positioning and timing plays a big role. I prefer xeno 2 (~200 hours into xeno 2, about 6 so far in.
